What Price Coal?

To coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Miners’ Strikes there will be a free Question Time styled debate taking place, on the Theatre Royal stage, on Saturday 8th March at 5.30pm-6.45pm (in between the matinee and evening performance), to cover the issues raised in Brassed Off.

The debate will be chaired by Ian Clayton, a writer, broadcaster and workshop leader who grew up in a mining community.

Amongst the speakers will be Keith Stanley, former Vice President of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) as well as the current Honorary President of the Nottingham area NUM.

Other speakers include: Jean Miller (Women Against Pit Closures), Andrew Birchall (Ex-Miner) and Martin Brandon-Bravo (Former Conservative MP for Nottingham South).
