Following the success of last year’s production of Sister Act, Carlton Operatic Society will be returning to the Theatre Royal Nottingham next week with their new production of LEGALLY BLONDE – THE MUSICAL.  The show will open on Tuesday 5 May and run until Saturday 9 May.

LEGALLY BLONDE will feature Nottingham stars Rosie Wade as lead character Elle Woods and Mark Coffey-Bainbridge as her love interest Emmett Forrest.  The show is directed by Amanda Hall.  LEGALLY BLONDE – THE MUSICAL is based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the smash-hit 2001 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture of the same name starring Reece Witherspoon.

Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside-down, however, when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law School. Determined to get him back, Elle follows him to Harvard and uses her charm to get into the school. With the help of her new friends, Paulette and Emmett, Elle quickly realises her potential and learns that it’s so much better to be smart.

Winner of 7 major awards including the coveted Best Musical 2011 (Olivier Awards) LEGALLY BLONDE – THE MUSICAL is an all-singing, all-dancing romantic comedy about knowing who you are and showing what you’ve got!
