The Late Yetis are to release their long awaited EP ‘Per Contra’ and first single ‘Blood Driven’

5 piece alternative rock/grunge band The Late Yetis project a mixture of sounds associated with the grooves and heaviness of grunge and alternative rock, but also don’t shy away from their indie roots. Often delving into complex time signatures with progressive rock layering melodies, they produce a solid sound which is both memorable and invariably impressive.

The London based group all met through previous projects and their mutual love for writing something slightly different which did not conform them to one single genre. It is also their culturally diverse backgrounds which makes them different with lead singer Nol originally from Brunei, who’s vocal range and power have been often compared to the late Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots.) Also guitarist Dave born in Spain, spent his younger days in California, and then lived in Brunei before settling in the UK, and provides a fresh beacon of sound amongst their heavier songs. With other members originating from the likes of Detroit, Zambia, and Libya, The Late Yetis are truly unique.

img_6898.jpegThey are not a band for the faint hearted but have also created a sound which is accessible, drawing influences which range from Incubus, Deftones, Soundgarden, Slipknot, and even bands such as Blink 182 and Four Year Strong.

The video for their first single ‘Blood Driven’ is certainly ballsy and does not hold back on its content, whilst also projecting a thought provoking concept. The track is due for release on the 1st February 2016.

Their EP ‘Per Contra’ will then be released on the 1st March.
