A luxury Leicestershire catering company has been adding extra flavour at Britain’s newest summer opera festival.

Stones Events, based in Kibworth, has been working with the team at Nevill Holt to provide culinary expertise at the opera festival.

The Magic Flute opera took place over five sold out nights in June and July at the historic Nevill Holt in Market Harborough.

The event showcases the youngest and brightest talent in Britain in the breathtaking setting of the Leicestershire countryside.

Stones Events beat off stiff competition to become the first catering company outside of London, to work at the festival.

The exclusive boutique caterers ran a 100-seater pop up restaurant on the site alongside serving high tea and picnics in the assorted marquees and pavilions.

Gourmet delights were served to guests ranging from roasted quail, beef fillet and half grilled lobster to homemade scones and lollipops.

Tom Goodwin, managing director at Stones Events said: “This has been a fantastic event to be involved in. We are used to providing catering at VIP events and working with luxury brands, but Nevill Holt really is a standout setting.

“As well as providing taste sensations for guest at the opera, our culinary expertise enabled us to deliver an amazing pop up restaurant at the forefront of cutting-edge cuisine.

“We have also been able to support Nevill Holt Opera with our dedicated team of event planners to manage all bookings for the restaurant, pavilion marquees and picnics.”
